Ian did his first gig playing Peter Gunn in front of his Junior School
mates. They never spoke to him again after that. Played Bongos with his
brothers group 'The Savals'. They didn't speak to him either. |
TV Appearance Singapore 1967 |

Appeared on local TV show 'Talentime' - equivalent to 'New Faces'.
Made a mistake on the last verse and didn't get through to the next round.
Nobody spoke to him after that. Got a few local gigs and did a Xmas
special. Sung in Malay with Aisha Akbar on local radio. Nobody spoke to
him in Malay after that |

Formed with other RAF apprentices, an acoustic group covering Mungo
Jerry, Simon and Garfunkel covers. Played in the local Folk Club. They put
their fingers in one ear and didn't speak to him again |

RAF both in the UK and Germany. Even the Germans didn’t speak to him |

Formed a band in Oman with other expats, including a support slot to
Fred (Oldest Swinger in Town) Wedlock. Fred didn’t speak to him either. |

Remnants of the ‘White Plains’ touring band, songs included ‘Step into
a Dream’ Julie, Julie, Julie’ and ‘When you were a King’ Various 60s/70s
covers. The rest of the band ignored him. |

Formed with brother Colin, on drums, did a few gigs around
Essex/Herts. Various members included a Yank, a Buddhist and a
schizophrenic. Ignored by all in the band, twice by the schizo. |

Switched to Bass after the regular couldn’t stand being ignored.

Heavy Rock band from Harlow. Covering classic rock numbers like ‘Don’t
speak to the Bass Player’ etc..left as they were too loud, and the lead
guitarist was an arsehole |

Covers/Cabaret Band based in Hertford. The band didn’t speak to him so
he left and moved to Norfolk |

Dr Feelgood covers band, based in Dereham. Absolute nutters, but a
good all round band. History repeats itself and the band wont leave him
alone. Can’t stop them talking to him. |
